The World Gin Awards present awards for the very best internationally recognised gin styles. Distilled gins that focus on a specific botanical substance or taste and clearly specify this on their label. These distilled beverages are only flavoured through distillation and always still focus on juniper berries, but also concentrate on the characteristic element.

The assessment procedure
Taste judging takes place in two rounds.
Round 1
Every gin is tasted in its relevant style to identify and select the style winners. The expert panel of the World Gin Awards consists of international, prominent journalists, specialist liquor distributors and experts from the sector.
The winners are announced on 21 January 2022.
Round 2
The style winners are tasted and scored in relation to each other to determine the “World Best” gin in each category.
The winners will be announced on 24 February 2022.
